Had a brief Facebook chat the other night with Dookie, who’s currently in India on assignment. He told me the company gave him a personal driver to take him around town during his stay. So I asked Dookie if he would solicit his driver for some food recommendations. Apparently this was one of the favorites. I thought it was kind of funny that an East Indian would make such a suggestion to a Chinese. But then it got me thinking.
Is Chinese food not the most popular cuisine in the world?
No matter where you go, from Budapest to Nairobi; from French Polynesia to Alabama; from Dubai to Reykjavik, you’ll always find that shinning beacon from the orient known as a Chinese restaurant. Not to mention someone asking if you would like to order some “chicken fly lice”.
