Fresh baked “Fong Bao” from the oven – 方包出爐

Random musings & meditations straight from the oven. Hopefully some food for thought as well…

What I missed about Vancouver 2010

Being a Vancouverite, this entire week I was reminded of the one year anniversary of the Winter Olympics. The coverage has been extensive with many sharing their thoughts in the media or on the internet. Suffice to say I share the same sentiments.

As one of the 25,000 blue jacket volunteers, I should remember these games for the camaraderie; the coming together of people from around the world and different walks of life working towards one goal; and the graciousness and respect people have for each other during the entire Olympic and Paralymic experience. If only that spirit can be bottled up and shared around the globe, the world will be better for it.

“Imagine all the people. Living life in peace.”

“Imagine all the people. Sharing all the world.”

Imagine – John Lennon

Today I put the blue jacket on once again and realized how fortunate I was to be part of a special, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
